Highlights

  • "We stopped by and one of the owners, Sue, showed us around the farm. Really lovely place with old olive trees, chickens, a pressing facility, flower beds and a tasting room. I really liked the olive oil. We bought two bottles, an early harvest and a mid harvest. We also bought 11 eggs. Our daughter picked two of them right out of the chicken coop."."

Your Questions, Answered

  • We suggest you wear comfortable clothing with walking shoes/boots to be able to go through the olive groves. Due to the hot Portuguese sun we recommend that you wear a hat, sunglasses and suncream to protect your skin. A water bottle to keep hydrated.

  • Families with young kids and older travelers frequently ask if the paths through the grove or the oil mill (lagar) can handle wheels. While we are improving the roads around the farm some areas maybe off bounds with a wheelchair or stroller. We will do our best to accommodate you so please mention at the time of booking any special requirements.

  • Well in Portugal during the summer months there is no rain! However, if you visit the farm earlier in the year there might well be a down pour, most of the tour can be done inside. If the Olive Grove walk is not possible, we will provide you with something else to make up for it.

  • We are in the process of being a compost toilet and there is a toilet in our converted truck. However, we encourage people to water the trees and ground whereever possible! There is plenty of shaded areas around the farm.

  • Yes we welcome you to bring your own food for a picnic on the site and ask you to kindly clear up after yourself so the land remains clean. Regarding drinks we would prefer you not to bring alcoholic drinks on to the land, but please bring water bottles and any soft drinks.
